Social media users swiftly denounced the dangerous behavior.
A viral video capturing an alarming act of recklessness on Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor National Highway has sparked outrage across social media platforms. Filmed on September 16, the footage reveals a risk-taking motorcyclist performing an extremely dangerous stunt on a speeding sports bike, prompting swift response from Meerut Police authorities. Within hours of being shared online, the video went viral, showing the unidentified individual standing completely erect on the motorcycle's seat while traveling at dangerous speeds, with no hands on the handlebars.
The stunt was recorded by another motorcyclist, documenting several heart-stopping moments when vehicles, including a large tractor, passed dangerously close to the performer. As they neared a toll plaza, the accompanying rider called out to the booth operator to raise the barrier, enabling the stuntman to proceed through without stopping.
Social media users quickly expressed their condemnation of this irresponsible behavior, with comments highlighting how the rider was not only risking his own life but also endangering innocent drivers and pedestrians on the highway.
"This isn't bravery; it's stupidity that could kill others," wrote one concerned user, while many tagged law enforcement agencies demanding immediate action. Another commenter urged, "Please take strict action against him."
In response to the public concern, Meerut Police issued a statement on their social media platform, confirming an ongoing investigation to identify the motorcyclist. "The Station House Officer of Mawana has been directed to take necessary action," their official post stated.
