A tragic incident occurred when 17-month-old Akshita fell into a container of boiling milk, resulting in severe burns across her entire body.
In Anantpur, a devastating accident claimed the life of a one-and-a-half-year-old girl who accidentally tumbled into a pot of boiling milk that was placed in a school kitchen.
The heartbreaking event was recorded by CCTV cameras at Ambedkar Gurukula School in Bukkarayasamudram village of Anantpur district. Footage revealed that little Akshita had accompanied her mother Krishnaveni, who was employed as a security guard at the school through Seva Supreme Agency, into the kitchen area.
The milk had been prepared for student distribution and was positioned beneath a ceiling fan to cool. The video shows Akshita and her mother momentarily exiting the kitchen before returning. The toddler then re-entered the room alone, following a cat that approached the milk container.
Within seconds of approaching the milk container while pursuing the cat, Akshita lost her balance and fell directly into the hot milk, suffering extreme burns over her entire body.
Hearing her daughter's cries, Krishnaveni quickly retrieved Akshita from the container and immediately transported her to Anantapur Government Hospital.
Following medical advice, the child was transferred to Kurnool Government Hospital for advanced care. Tragically, despite medical efforts, Akshita succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
