The Government of India is set to launch the 'Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan' alongside 'Poshan Maah' on September 17. AIIMS Delhi will be hosting medical checkup camps at four different locations.
Dr. Nirupam Madan, Medical Superintendent at AIIMS, stated, "We've observed that men significantly outnumber women in our general OPD. This initiative, driven by the PMO, aims to increase female attendance at healthcare facilities. We're organizing camps at four locations: the main AIIMS campus, Trilokpuri Centre, Ballabhgarh Community Health Centre, and Jhajjar. All women are welcome to attend these camps, which will offer general health assessments, gynecological examinations, and screenings for cervical and breast cancer."
"Additionally, we'll provide ophthalmic checkups and conduct a blood donation drive on the 17th. These services will continue throughout the fortnight, with walk-in appointments available for women from 9 am to 2 pm daily," she added, describing the medical camp services.
The Prime Minister will be visiting Madhya Pradesh on September 17 to inaugurate both the 'Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar' and '8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah' campaigns, marking the country's largest health outreach program targeting women and children.
