In a disturbing incident from Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh, a woman was violently assaulted by her husband who bound her hands before subjecting her to a merciless beating, despite neighbors' attempts to intervene.
Footage of the horrific event captured Guruntham striking his wife repeatedly with a belt and kicking her while she screamed and writhed in agony.
According to onlookers, the man appeared to derive "sadistic pleasure" from inflicting pain on his wife. He disregarded all pleas from neighbors to stop and continued his brutal attack unabated.
The victim, a mother of four including three daughters and a son with Gurunatham, has been employed at a local bakery to provide for her children. Reports indicate that her husband allegedly resides in Hyderabad with another woman.
Community members revealed that Gurunatham routinely returns to the village to harass his wife severely, demanding she surrender her hard-earned income to him.
