Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that India must achieve self-reliance, noting that despite global uncertainties, the country's growth remains resilient and remarkable.
Speaking at the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2025 in Greater Noida, PM Modi highlighted that Russia is the country partner for this trade show, which signifies the further strengthening of this time-tested partnership between the two nations.

The Prime Minister underscored that the government is intensifying its efforts towards the 'Make in India' initiative, with the goal of producing everything from 'chips to ships' domestically.
PM Modi announced that the first fully indigenous AK-203 assault rifles, named 'Sher' in India, will soon be delivered to the Army. These rifles are being produced by the Indo-Russian Rifles Private Limited (IRRPL), a joint venture established in Uttar Pradesh's Amethi. The AK-203 rifles represent a significant modernization compared to the AK-47 and AK-56 models and are considered among the most lethal in the Kalashnikov series.
The Prime Minister observed that Indians now have greater confidence in swadeshi (domestically produced) products, recognizing them as better quality, more user-friendly, and longer-lasting. He emphasized that there should be no compromise on quality and reiterated that any product that can be manufactured in India should be made within the country.
Upon arriving at the venue to inaugurate the trade show, PM Modi toured the exhibition area where he witnessed cutting-edge innovations across various sectors.
This third edition of the trade show, envisioned under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's leadership, is being held at the India Expo Centre and Mart from September 25 to 29. The event showcases Uttar Pradesh's industrial, agricultural, cultural, and innovation strengths to a global audience.
The trade show aims to highlight industrial progress, foster trade collaborations, and attract investments. Participants include business leaders, industry experts, startups, exporters, and government officials. The event is expected to attract over 2,400 exhibitors and 125,000 B2B visitors.
