Man Robbed Of Jewellery At Gunpoint Near Delhi's Bharat Mandapam

New Delhi: A jewelry courier on a scooter was allegedly robbed at gunpoint by motorcycle assailants on Wednesday near Bharat Mandapam in the capital, according to police reports.

The robbery occurred Wednesday afternoon as the victim was transporting a jewelry consignment in the vicinity of Bhairon Mandir. Authorities stated that the perpetrators on a motorcycle intercepted the courier near the temple.

The assailants reportedly displayed a firearm before stealing the jewelry and quickly fleeing the scene. A senior police officer confirmed that the suspects made a rapid escape following the robbery.

Upon receiving notification of the incident, a police team from Tilak Marg police station immediately responded to the location. Officials added that they are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area to determine the escape route and identify the suspects.

"The investigation is ongoing, and we are conducting raids to apprehend the perpetrators," the officer stated. "Police have contacted the jewelry store owner to determine the value of the stolen merchandise."
