3 Held For Raping, Murdering 32-Year-Old Woman In Hyderabad

Three individuals have been apprehended for allegedly sexually assaulting and killing a 32-year-old woman at Kismathpur in Hyderabad, authorities announced on Tuesday.

The suspects were taken into custody on September 22 on charges of abduction, gang rape, sexual assault, and murder of the woman that occurred on September 14 beneath a bridge, according to a statement from the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.

On September 16, several community members notified law enforcement after discovering the woman's remains near shrubbery, and a case was subsequently registered under relevant BNS sections at the Rajendranagar police station, stated a police official.

The victim, who had been missing for three days, was observed in an inebriated state near a column on September 14 by a 33-year-old man who enticed her into an auto-rickshaw, purchased beer and biryani for her, and then sexually violated her near a function venue.

Following this, he transported her to Aramghar X Roads. Subsequently, two auto-rickshaw operators, aged 25 and 26, forced her into their three-wheeler and traveled to Kismathpur bridge, where they sexually assaulted her, and when she resisted, one of them lethally attacked her using wooden sticks. They abandoned her body in the bushes before fleeing the scene, the statement detailed.

During the investigation process, authorities examined CCTV footage and arrested the three accused from various locations, the official further mentioned.
