India Reports Zero Infiltrations on China Border While Arresting 23,926 Infiltrators on Other Frontiers Since 2014

The government has informed Parliament that since 2014, security forces have apprehended 23,926 infiltrators along India's borders with Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, and Bhutan. However, no infiltration cases have been reported along the India-China border during this period.

According to official data presented in the Lok Sabha, the India-Bangladesh border witnessed the highest number of infiltrator apprehensions. This was followed by borders with Myanmar, Pakistan, and the Nepal-Bhutan frontier. The year-wise statistics since 2014 demonstrate ongoing infiltration attempts along India's western and eastern borders, while the northern border with China has remained free of reported infiltration incidents.

Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai provided this information in a written response to a question from Trinamool Congress MPs Jagdish Chandra Barma Basunia and Sharmila Sarkar. He detailed that 20,806 infiltrators were arrested at India's international borders with Bangladesh, Myanmar, Pakistan, and Nepal-Bhutan from 2014 to 2024. Additionally, 3,120 infiltrators were apprehended at these borders between January and November 2025.

The detailed breakdown reveals that 18,851 infiltrators were arrested along the India-Bangladesh border, making it the area with the highest number of apprehensions. This was followed by 1,165 arrests at the India-Myanmar border, 556 at the India-Pakistan border, and 234 along the India-Nepal-Bhutan borders.

Month-wise data for 2025 (up to November) shows continuing arrests of infiltrators, primarily along the India-Bangladesh border (2,556), followed by the India-Myanmar border (437), India-Pakistan border (49), and India-Nepal-Bhutan borders (78). The data explicitly states that "no apprehension of infiltrators has been reported along the India-China border even in 2025," highlighting a distinctive security situation along India's northern frontier.
