Rajasthan School Student Charged with Rape of 14-Year-Old Classmate and Sharing Explicit Content

Police in Rajasthan's Pali district have filed charges against an 11th-grade student for allegedly raping a 9th-grade student and subsequently distributing explicit content of the assault on social media platforms, officials confirmed on Monday.

According to the official complaint submitted by the victim's parents, the incident took place approximately 15-20 days prior in a field within the jurisdiction of the Shivpura police station.

Sojat City Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ratanaram Dewasi revealed that the parents reported their 14-year-old daughter, who attends 9th grade, was allegedly befriended and manipulated by a fellow student from her school who is in 11th grade.

The accused allegedly lured the girl to a field where he sexually assaulted her. Following the assault, he threatened her into silence, instructing her not to reveal the incident to anyone, the DSP explained.

The family reported that the girl appeared visibly distressed following the incident. When her parents gently inquired about the reason for her unusual behavior, she disclosed her traumatic experience, prompting them to contact law enforcement.

Based on the family's report, authorities registered a formal case at the Shivpura police station.

DSP Dewasi additionally stated that police arranged for the victim to undergo a medical examination at Bangar Hospital in Pali on Sunday and have commenced a thorough investigation into the matter.

"Law enforcement is actively investigating the case. The precise age of the boy accused of rape and sharing explicit material on social media will be confirmed only after the investigation reaches completion," he added.
