Meta India Appoints Aman Jain as New Public Policy Head to Drive Strategic Engagements

Aman Jain will be integrated into the India leadership team as he takes on his new role.

Meta India has officially appointed Aman Jain as their new Public Policy Head, responsible for steering the company's policy strategies and engagements across India.

Jain will be part of Meta's India leadership team and is scheduled to commence his role early next year, reporting directly to Simon Milner, Vice President of Policy for Asia Pacific (APAC) at Meta.

"Aman brings more than two decades of expertise in public policy and business strategy, with demonstrable achievements at Amazon, Google, the Government of India, and various international organizations," stated Meta in their official announcement of the appointment.

His professional background includes significant leadership positions at Google India, where he served as country head for government affairs and public policy.

In his most recent position, Jain worked as Director of Public Policy at Amazon, where he managed policy strategy across multiple domains including marketplace, operations, competition, and technology.

India represents a key strategic market for Meta. As the nation's digital economy continues its rapid growth in areas such as artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and the creator ecosystem, Meta aims to contribute to building a more inclusive, trusted, and future-ready internet environment for India, according to Milner.

Milner emphasized that Jain's comprehensive background in public policy and technology will enhance Meta's effectiveness as a partner to regulators and industry stakeholders in developing a supportive policy framework. He added that Jain will be a valuable addition to Meta's APAC Policy leadership team.
