On Thursday, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha urged young people, writers, and intellectuals to guide India to new heights as visionary craftsmen, noting that the country is experiencing a cultural renaissance after a prolonged period.

The Lieutenant Governor also highlighted that Sanskrit, as the oldest living language, encompasses a complete system of knowledge.

"The country is witnessing a cultural renaissance after a considerable time. Our youth, writers, and thinkers must lead this nation toward new heights with the vision of master craftsmen," Sinha stated while speaking at the Shri Kailakh Sanskrit Ratna Award-2025 ceremony, organized by the Shri Kailakh Jyotish and Vedic Sansthan Trust in Jammu.

He emphasized that the younger generation are the true inheritors of India's eternal traditions, customs, and spiritual heritage.

"Young people should acquire modern-world skills while simultaneously serving as guardians of our ancient culture. They should possess both a scientist's passion for research and the divine wisdom characteristic of Adi Shankaracharya," Sinha remarked.

He reiterated that Sanskrit, as the oldest surviving language, contains a complete knowledge system.

"The extensive works of great writers, thinkers, scientists, mathematicians, and the profound treasures from our seers could be utilized for intellectual and technological advancement," he noted.

Sinha presented five resolutions for enlightened citizens and called for collaborative efforts toward a more conscious, harmonious, and developed future.

"First, we must organize ourselves and guide society toward a balanced future, integrating material and spiritual life for self-discipline, simplicity, and spiritual growth alongside new inventions. The second resolution focuses on fostering social harmony and nurturing a generation empowered by peace, respect, and compassion," he explained.

The Lieutenant Governor stressed that people should embrace the philosophy of world peace and harmony rooted in India's ancient traditions. "We should collectively aim to eliminate all forms of discrimination and promote friendly perspectives toward every individual. We must also convey the philosophy of welfare and harmonious human development to young people to reduce divisions and conflict," he said.

Asserting that education forms the foundation of a balanced and fulfilling life, Sinha stated, "Our third resolution is transforming our education system to develop personalities who blend the qualities of both saints and scientists. Fourth, the current generation must build a new future by establishing harmony with nature." The Lieutenant Governor added that the fifth resolution involves uniting firmly against elements attempting to create societal divisions, with enlightened community members leading this initiative.

He emphasized that every Indian should take pride in inheriting a rich and glorious civilization and progress on the path of nation-building.

"While building a united and developed India, we must ensure our great country stands firmly on the strong pillars of ideals, moral values, and character exemplified by our great leaders," the Lieutenant Governor concluded.
