Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a four-day diplomatic journey covering three nations - Jordan, Ethiopia, and Oman - commencing December 15, according to an official announcement.

The first destination on PM Modi's itinerary will be the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, where he will visit from December 15 to 16 following an invitation from King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein. During this engagement, the Prime Minister will hold discussions with King Hussein to evaluate the complete spectrum of India-Jordan bilateral relations and exchange perspectives on regional matters.

This visit coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Jordan, presenting a valuable opportunity to enhance bilateral engagement, discover new collaboration avenues for mutual development and prosperity, and reaffirm India's dedication to fostering regional peace, prosperity, security, and stability.

For the second phase of his tour, PM Modi will make his inaugural state visit to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia from December 16 to 17, responding to an invitation from Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali. The leaders will engage in comprehensive discussions covering all aspects of India-Ethiopia bilateral relations. As partners in the Global South, this visit underscores both nations' shared commitment to strengthening friendly ties and bilateral cooperation.

Concluding his international tour, Prime Minister Modi will visit the Sultanate of Oman from December 17 to 18 at the invitation of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, marking his second visit to the Gulf nation.

The visit commemorates 70 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries and follows the Omani Sultan's state visit to India in December 2023.

This diplomatic engagement will provide an opportunity for both nations to thoroughly review their bilateral partnership across various domains including trade, investment, energy, defense, security, technology, agriculture, and culture. Additionally, the leaders will exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual importance.
