Minutes After Stealing Gold, Cash, Karnataka Thief Robbed By 4 Men

A burglar who broke into three residences near Bengaluru experienced an ironic twist of fate when he became a victim himself. Shortly after stealing 90 grams of gold and Rs 1.75 lakh in cash from multiple homes, the thief was attacked near the Mandur crematorium.

Four individuals intercepted the burglar, assaulted him, and stole all his recently acquired loot including the gold, cash, and other valuable items. The incident was discovered when the original thief attempted to sell a stolen gold chain last week. During police questioning, he revealed the robbery he had suffered.

Following this information, authorities tracked down and apprehended the four men who had robbed the thief. Police recovered 447 grams of gold, more than Rs 28,000 in cash, and a two-wheeler from these suspects. The total value of the recovered items was estimated at Rs 70 lakh.

Investigators confirmed that the gang of four had no prior connection to the burglar they robbed near the crematorium. They had simply capitalized on an opportunity to steal from another thief.
