The Delhi High Court recognized the dispute as a personal matter between the parties involved.

New Delhi:

In an unconventional judicial decision, the Delhi High Court has directed two feuding neighbors to provide "buttermilk and pizzas" to children and staff at a government childcare facility as a condition for dismissing their mutual police complaints.

Justice Arun Monga was presiding over two petitions requesting the nullification of cross-cases filed following an escalation of a disagreement about pet handling. The neighboring residents had filed complaints against each other alleging physical assault, threats, and inappropriate conduct during their confrontation. Subsequently, they informed the court that they had reached an amicable resolution through mutual agreement.

The High Court acknowledged the private nature of the dispute and determined that pursuing criminal cases against each other would "serve no useful purpose." However, after learning that one complainant operates a pizza baking business, the court established a specific condition.

According to the court's ruling, the police complaints would be dismissed if both neighbors provided Amul 'chach' tetra packs and mixed vegetable pizzas to residents of Sanskar Ashram located near GTB Hospital in Delhi.

"Each inmate and the attendants and other staff of the Ashram shall be served one Pizza along with Amul Chaach Tetra Pack. The Pizzas shall be baked by the complainant in the FIR No.220/2025 dated 05.05.2025 registered at PS Mansarovar Park, and the same shall be treated as the community service to be jointly carried out by all the complainants and the accused by serving the same," stated Justice Monga.

The court also instructed the investigating officer to ensure both parties comply with the judicial directive.
