The footage depicts the individual displaying what appears to be a non-venomous snake, possibly a rat snake, uncomfortably close to travelers, creating an atmosphere of fear among the commuters. Several passengers can be observed giving money to the snake handler.

The footage quickly garnered thousands of views and prompted widespread criticism online. Many users condemned the incident as a significant public safety concern, with some sharing similar experiences of harassment on trains, while others advocated for more stringent enforcement measures against such behaviors. One commenter remarked, "This isn't entertainment—it's extortion exploiting vulnerable people."

In response to the viral video, the RailwaySeva X account requested additional details from the user and instructed the Railway Protection Force (RPF) to investigate the matter. Their reply stated: "We will require your journey details (PNR / UTS no.) & mobile no. preferably via DM. You may also raise your concern directly on http://railmadad.indianrailways.gov.in or dial 139 for speedy redressal - RPF India."

In a separate incident highlighting problematic passenger behavior, a woman allegedly traveling without a ticket was recorded arguing with an Indian Railways staff member on a train. The video triggered outrage on social media, with users calling for appropriate action against her. The unidentified woman was seen confronting a Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) when questioned about her ticket, even claiming that the staff member was mistreating her.
