Hyderabad:
A Circle Inspector of Police in Cyberabad has been transferred to Vacancy Reserve shortly after filing an FIR in a significant land-grab case that mentions the family business of Telangana minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy.
Inspector Mohd Habibullah Khan, who served as the Station House Officer at Gachibowli police station, was reassigned to VR Cyberabad according to a police directive dated December 9.
This transfer comes following an FIR registered at Gachibowli Police Station on November 30 (FIR No. 2789/2025), based on a complaint submitted by Pallavi S Shah.
The complainant reported that on November 30, her land in Vattinagulapally Village was trespassed upon.
The FIR lists several individuals and companies, including Sudhir Shah, Avinav Shah, Akshay Shah, Amrit Shah, New Gen Builders, Raghava Construction Builders, and Prashanth among others.
These accused parties are reportedly connected to the family enterprise of revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy. The minister's son, Harsha Reddy, is also allegedly involved in the property acquisition attempt that included an unauthorized survey.
According to the complaint, individuals associated with the accused trespassed using four JCBs and approximately 70 others, many wearing masks. The intruders reportedly damaged a Gowshala and field, and demolished structures despite existing court injunctions.
Staff members of the complainant were allegedly physically attacked, verbally abused, and unlawfully detained.
The directive issued by the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, contained multiple transfers. The entry for SHO Gachibowli police station, Mohd Habibullah Khan, indicates his position has been changed to VR Cyberabad.
Inspector K Balaraju has been appointed as the new SHO of Gachibowli PS.
