District Collector Shivam Verma confirmed that 14 family members were trapped beneath the building debris.

Twelve survivors are currently receiving treatment at Maharaja Yeshwantrao Government Hospital (MYH), while the two deceased have been identified as Alifa and Faheem, the official stated.

Dr. Arvind Ghanghoria, Dean of the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, informed PTI that 20-year-old Alifa was brought to Maharaja Yeshwant Rao Hospital after being rescued from the debris, but doctors pronounced her dead upon arrival.

The district collector announced that the five-hour rescue operation has concluded. "The front section of the building had been recently reconstructed, but the rear portion was old. We will be investigating the condition of the building's foundation," he added.

Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava noted that part of the collapsed structure fell onto a neighboring building. Initial information indicates the building was approximately eight to ten years old.
