Greater Noida: A 22-year-old man allegedly took his own life using his father's licensed firearm at a park close to his home in Greater Noida during the early hours of Monday, according to police reports.
The deceased has been identified as Priyanshu Chaudhary, who resided at Amrapali Leisure Valley within the jurisdiction of the Bisrakh police station.

"Priyanshu departed from his residence around 4 am and shot himself while seated on a bench in a park near his housing society. A suicide note was discovered at the scene. Initial investigation suggests mental stress was the likely cause behind this tragic action," Bisrakh Station House Officer Manoj Singh informed PTI.
Authorities found Priyanshu's spectacles, mobile phone, and the weapon beside his body. Police confirmed that the licensed gun belonged to his father, Ajay Chaudhary, who operates a gas stove manufacturing business in Ghaziabad. The body has been sent for postmortem examination.
According to family statements, Priyanshu had been distressed after failing to gain admission to an MBA college in Goa, the SHO added.
