Engineering Student From Jharkhand Found Dead In Noida Hostel Room: Police Investigation Underway

A third-year engineering student was discovered hanging in his hostel room in Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddha Nagar district, police reported on Sunday.

Authorities found a suicide note in the room stating, "I give up. Give my body and all my belongings to my family." According to Inspector Sarvesh Kumar Singh of Knowledge Park police station, the deceased was identified as Krishnakant (25), originally from Jharkhand, who was studying Master of Computer Applications at the Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology (NIET).

The officer stated that Krishnakant resided in Crown Hostel with his roommate, Hrithik.

Inspector Singh explained that the roommate informed police that Krishnakant had spoken to his father on the phone, saying something that caused significant concern.

Alarmed by the conversation, the father contacted Hrithik and urged him to check on Krishnakant immediately, fearing he might harm himself.

Hrithik then asked a friend to inspect the room, which was locked from inside. Despite repeated knocking, there was no response from within, the inspector noted.

After breaking the latch, they discovered Krishnakant hanging, the officer added.

According to Hrithik's statement to police, Krishnakant had been suffering from chronic headaches for an extended period.
