Kaushambi:

Police discovered the lifeless bodies of a 55-year-old man and his 75-year-old mother on separate cots inside their residence in Bara Haveli Khalsa village on Sunday, authorities reported.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rajesh Kumar Singh stated that officers accessed the locked property by climbing over a wall and found the deceased bodies of Vijay Mishra, also known as Makardhwaj, and his elderly mother Maula Devi.

"Evidence showed both individuals had vomited prior to their deaths," the officer noted, adding that the bodies have been transported for postmortem examination.

"Based on initial assessment, the deaths appear to result from ingestion of a toxic substance. The definitive cause will be established following the postmortem report," the ASP explained.
