In a fortunate turn of events, no injuries were reported when tourists had a narrow escape after their vehicle became trapped in powerful waves at Maharashtra's Kalamb beach.

The alarming incident occurred on Sunday when visitors allegedly drove their SUV too near the shoreline at Kalamb beach in Vasai, approximately 75 kilometers from Mumbai. The vehicle became immobilized in the sand as seawater levels rose, leaving the occupants stranded.

Footage captured the white SUV almost completely submerged in the Arabian Sea, while a line of local residents attempted to retrieve it from the water in what resembled a tug-of-war between the community members and the vehicle.

While the exact number of passengers remains unconfirmed, reports indicate no one sustained injuries during the incident. Thanks to the efforts of local residents, the vehicle was successfully recovered and brought back to shore.
