Delhi Records Coldest December Day: Temperature Drops Below Seasonal Average with Foggy Forecast

Delhi recorded its coldest December day of the year on Wednesday with the maximum temperature falling to 23.7 degrees Celsius, which was 1.6 degrees below the seasonal average.
November saw the second lowest maximum temperature of the season at 24.3 degrees Celsius.
According to data from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the lowest maximum temperature recorded in November last year was 14.6 degrees Celsius.
Wednesday's minimum temperature registered at 6.4 degrees Celsius, which was 3.1 degrees below normal, as per the IMD.
For Thursday, the weather department has forecast moderate fog with temperatures expected to reach a maximum of 23 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 6 degrees Celsius.
The Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi has predicted a predominantly clear sky with shallow fog during morning hours and isolated cold wave conditions on Thursday.
It further reported that the prevailing surface wind is expected to come from the west at speeds up to 10 kilometers per hour during the morning.
Throughout the afternoon, evening, and night, winds will maintain a speed of approximately 10 kilometers per hour, shifting to come from the northwest direction.
