YSRCP Dismisses Rs 222 Crore Air Travel Expenditure Claims Against Former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy

The YSR Congress Party has firmly denied allegations regarding Rs 222 crore spent on air travel during Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's tenure as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister. YSRCP calls these claims politically motivated, demands transparency about Chandrababu Naidu's travel expenses, and clarifies ownership of Visakhapatnam government buildings, suggesting the controversy aims to distract from current governance issues.

Jagan Reddy's Party Refutes Charges On His Air Travel

YSRCP has strongly denied allegations regarding the reported Rs 222 crore expenditure on air travel during Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's tenure as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, labeling these claims as "incorrect" and "politically motivated."

The YSR Congress Party has issued a firm rebuttal against the TDP-led NDA government, stating that recent statements by TDP leaders, including minister Nara Lokesh, deliberately misrepresent official records to create a false narrative.

According to YSRCP, the government buildings in Visakhapatnam that TDP referenced are officially owned by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department. The party emphasized that these structures were previously examined by a committee formed during the earlier TDP administration, with no evidence establishing personal ownership or use by the former Chief Minister.

In a counter-offensive, YSRCP has challenged the TDP to release complete records of air travel expenses incurred during former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's administration, suggesting this would provide greater transparency and enable factual comparison between the two governments.

The party also highlighted "frequent chartered and helicopter travel" by senior TDP and Jana Sena Party leaders over the past 18 months, calling for clarification on whether these expenses were paid personally or funded by political associates or companies.

YSRCP contends that the opposition's focus on air travel expenditures represents a calculated attempt to divert public attention from legitimate governance criticisms being directed at the current administration.
