Motorcycle Gunmen Attack Punjab Roadways Bus, Conductor Injured in Shooting Incident

Three armed men on a motorcycle opened fire on a Punjab Roadways bus traveling from Firozpur to Sri Ganganagar, injuring the conductor while passengers escaped unharmed. Police have launched an investigation into the shooting incident that occurred on the Firozpur-Fazilka road.

The police have initiated an investigation after registering a case.

Panic ensued among passengers in Punjab when three individuals on a motorcycle fired shots at the state-operated bus they were traveling in. While no passengers were hit by the bullets, the bus conductor sustained injuries, and the driver narrowly escaped harm.

The incident occurred on Tuesday when the Punjab Roadways bus was en route from Firozpur to Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan. As the bus traveled along the Firozpur-Fazilka road, three men on a motorcycle pulled up alongside it and discharged two bullets before quickly departing. Video footage reveals bullet marks on the front section of the bus and the driver's side window. The conductor suffered leg injuries from flying glass fragments.

Following the shooting, the driver promptly halted the bus, leaving the frightened passengers screaming in confusion about whether to exit the vehicle or remain seated.

"We were journeying peacefully when suddenly men on a motorcycle fired at our bus. The driver managed to avoid being hit by ducking slightly," recounted one passenger.

Law enforcement has filed a case and begun their investigation. The bus has been transported to the police station for further examination.
