Bhopal:

In an era where weddings often showcase lavishness and exclusivity, the holy city of Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh is witnessing a remarkable event that combines tradition, simplicity, and community spirit. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's younger son, Abhimanyu Yadav, will wed Ishita Yadav not in an exclusive private ceremony but as part of a mass wedding alongside 21 other couples in Sanwara Khedi.

This extraordinary decision has drawn admiration from people across the state. The symbolism of equality, unity, and collective celebration has resonated deeply with many observers.

The area near Imperial Hotel will transform into a vibrant spectacle of color and music as all 22 couples participate in a unified procession. Grooms will arrive mounted on horses while brides will travel in elegantly decorated carriages. Family members will dance alongside musical bands, creating the joyful atmosphere that characterizes traditional Indian weddings.

The wedding venue at Sanwara Khedi resembles a cultural festival ground. Five elaborately designed domes have been constructed to host the ceremonies, each adorned with traditional decorative elements. The venue includes a 40x100 ft main stage, an additional 50x25 ft stage, and 22 individual pavilions prepared for ritual ceremonies.

Approximately 25,000 attendees are expected, including family members, friends, well-wishers, and citizens who wish to witness this unique celebration.

Wedding festivities commenced on Friday with a puja ceremony at the Chief Minister's residence in Geeta Colony. Saturday featured traditional ceremonies filled with prayers, blessings, and intergenerational gatherings.

Following today's mass ceremony, an elaborate reception will take place at Atharva Hotel. The guest list includes ministers, chief ministers from 11 states, eight governors, and numerous other dignitaries.

Among the various moments shared online, one has particularly captured public imagination: Abhimanyu and Ishita arriving for a ceremony in a traditional bullock cart, embracing the rustic heritage of the Malwa region.

The ceremony has attracted an impressive list of dignitaries from across India. Invitations have been extended to several Governors, including Thawar Chand Gehlot, Arif Mohammed Khan, Acharya Devvrat, Bandaru Dattatreya, Haribabu Kambhampati, Gulabchand Kataria, Haribhau Kishanrao Bangde, and Anandiben Patel.

The guest list also includes 11 chief ministers: Rekha Gupta, Pema Khandu, Himanta Biswa Sarma, Nitish Kumar, Vishnu Deo Sai, Pramod Sawant, Bhupendra Patel, Nayab Singh Saini, Mohan Charan Majhi, Bhajan Lal Sharma, and Yogi Adityanath.
