An IndiGo Airlines flight destined for Delhi experienced a significant delay of approximately three hours at Kanpur Airport today after passengers spotted a rat inside the aircraft cabin.

The aircraft, originally scheduled to depart at 2:55 pm, had already completed its boarding process with all 140 passengers on board when the unexpected visitor was detected. Passengers observed the rodent jumping around the cabin interior, prompting immediate notification of airline personnel.

Following standard safety protocols, airline staff evacuated all passengers from the aircraft as a precautionary measure. A thorough search operation was subsequently initiated to locate and remove the unwanted passenger, which continued for approximately ninety minutes.

The flight, which was initially expected to arrive in Delhi at 4:10 pm, eventually departed Kanpur at 6:03 pm and touched down at its destination at 7:16 pm, causing considerable inconvenience to travelers and airport officials alike.

When contacted by NDTV via telephone, airport media spokesperson Vivek Singh confirmed the incident, acknowledging both the rat's presence onboard and the necessary evacuation procedures implemented to ensure passenger safety.
