Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged with multiple world leaders during the G7 Summit in Kananaskis, Canada on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted a series of bilateral meetings with leaders from South Korea, Mexico, South Africa, and Australia while attending the G7 Summit in Kananaskis.
During a pull-aside meeting with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung, both leaders expressed their commitment to strengthening the India-South Korea Special Strategic Partnership. According to Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal's statement on X, they discussed exploring new cooperative opportunities in "trade & economy, critical & emerging technologies, green hydrogen, shipbuilding, culture & P2P among others." The leaders also exchanged views on regional and global issues.

In his first meeting with Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, PM Modi discussed key global and regional matters, with particular focus on priorities of the Global South.
Mr. Jaiswal highlighted on X: "Boosting India-Mexico warm & historical ties. PM @narendramodi met President Dr @Claudiashein of Mexico, on the sidelines of 51st G7 Summit in Kananaskis, Canada." He added that both sides explored ways to enhance cooperation in trade, pharmaceuticals, science and technology, and digital innovation.
The Prime Minister also met with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. PM Modi shared on X: "Good to meet my friend, PM Albanese of Australia during the G7 Summit in Canada!"

Additionally, Modi posted a photograph of his interaction with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, expressing his pleasure at the meeting.
Earlier in the day, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney welcomed PM Modi for the G7 Outreach Session. Prior to the summit, Modi had stated his intention to discuss important global issues and emphasize Global South priorities during his meetings with world leaders.
This visit marks Prime Minister Modi's first trip to Canada in ten years.
