An Indian multi-party delegation headed by BJP's Ravi Shankar Prasad is conducting a diplomatic mission across Europe.
Brussels:
A cross-party Indian delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad engaged with Members of the European Parliament from the Delegation for Relations with India, Foreign Affairs Committee, and Security and Defence in Belgium. The delegation's European tour aims to present India's position on terrorism to key global decision-makers.
In conversation with ANI, BJP MP Daggubati Purandeswari emphasized that India currently faces terrorism in multiple manifestations.
"We are approaching the final phase of our delegation tour headed by Ravi Shankar Prasad. Brussels, where we are today, hosts the European Union headquarters and represents 27 European nations. It's crucial for India to appear before them and present the factual account of events following the April 22nd incident. While India is certainly capable of addressing its challenges independently, ensuring the right narrative of the entire situation reaches international audiences is essential".
The parliamentarian cautioned that terrorism threatening India today could endanger other nations in the near future.
"The terrorism India has endured for seven decades is globally recognized, and currently we're confronting not just conventional terrorism but its various evolved forms. This includes radicalization, indoctrination, financial backing, and numerous other manifestations. If terrorism threatens India's borders today, it could threaten another nation's security tomorrow. The global community must acknowledge that identifying the true perpetrator is long overdue. Pakistan's role in state-sponsored terrorism is well-documented...," she further stated.

BJP MP Gulam Ali Khatana remarked, "India stands as one of the world's fastest growing economies. We seek nothing from others. Our purpose here is simply to articulate our position. One must distinguish between the Mother of Terrorism and the Mother of Democracy. No legitimate civilization or culture globally condones terrorizing innocent civilians. India maintains an unwavering stance - zero tolerance for terrorism..."
During their European diplomatic mission, the all-party Indian parliamentary delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad met with the Indian community in Brussels and strongly condemned Pakistan's persistent support for terrorism. The delegation also highlighted international inconsistencies regarding terrorism and human rights standards.
The delegation includes BJP MPs Daggubati Purandeswari and Samik Bhattacharya, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi, Congress MPs Ghulam Ali Khatana and Amar Singh, former Union Minister MJ Akbar, and former Ambassador Pankaj Saran.
This visit constitutes part of India's comprehensive diplomatic initiative to bring attention to the consequences of cross-border terrorism and advocate for justice for terrorism victims.
