35% of Minority Discrimination Complaints in 2024 Come from Uttar Pradesh: Government Report to Parliament

According to a parliamentary report by the Union government, Uttar Pradesh accounts for 35% of all minority discrimination complaints in India during 2024. The National Commission for Minorities received 1,390 complaints nationwide, with 482 from UP alone. Minister Kiren Rijiju reported that complaints from Muslim communities have decreased from 1,246 in 2023 to 855 in 2024, while the government continues monitoring and addressing minority grievances.
