At Least 3 Dead As Gunmen Attack Pakistan Paramilitary Force Headquarters In Peshawar

A deadly attack occurred at Pakistan's paramilitary force headquarters in Peshawar on Monday, resulting in at least three casualties. According to Reuters sources, the defense complex, which serves as the headquarters for the frontier constabulary paramilitary force, was targeted by two suicide bombers.

Reports indicate that one suicide bomber attacked the main entrance of the constabulary, while a second bomber managed to infiltrate the compound.

A senior official, speaking anonymously to Reuters, stated, "Law enforcement personnel, including the army and police, have established a perimeter around the area and are handling the situation with caution, as we believe terrorists may still be inside the headquarters."

The paramilitary headquarters is situated in a densely populated area, adjacent to a military cantonment.

Area residents informed Reuters that military, police, and security forces have blocked and cordoned off the road leading to the defense facility.

Following the attack, social media platforms began circulating videos claiming that explosions were heard at FC Chowk Main Sadar.

Additional footage appeared to show security personnel engaging in firefights with terrorists near the facility, though NDTV could not independently verify these videos.

This attack follows a similar incident earlier this year, when at least ten people lost their lives and numerous others were injured after a car bomb exploded outside paramilitary headquarters in Quetta.
