Nalin Haley Claims Naturalized Citizens Shouldn't Hold Office and Foreign Students Act as Spies

Nalin Haley, son of former US ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, has claimed that the United States needs to restrict the number of foreign students in American universities.

Shortly after advocating for the cessation of "legal immigration," Nalin Haley has now expressed his belief that naturalized citizens should be prohibited from holding public office. His reasoning centers on the idea that growing up in America is essential for truly understanding the nation.

In a conversation with Tucker Carlson, Nalin suggested limiting foreign student enrollment at US universities, asserting, "Some of them are spies, by the way."

"We should keep our kids first," he stated, receiving visible approval from Carlson. Nalin also criticized the concept of dual citizenship, describing it as the "stupidest idea."

"People should have their loyalty to America first... You are either American, or you're not an American," he declared.

The 24-year-old further elaborated that dual citizenship is inherently problematic and serving another country is unacceptable.

Regarding language, Nalin acknowledged that learning additional languages is acceptable, but he disapproves of any language other than English being primary in America.

When asked if he felt the Republican Party represented young conservatives like himself, Nalin responded, "No, and that's the struggle, and that's where this anger comes from."

In a previous interview with UnHerd, Nalin shared, "My friend group from high school, all graduated with great degrees from great schools. It's been a year and a half, and not one of them has a job, not one." This situation has fueled his support for banning legal immigration.

"So I'm angry at that, because I'm having to try and help my friends get jobs when their parents got jobs immediately, not just after graduating college, but out of high school," he added.

"So when you see a bunch of foreigners coming over here to take jobs that [my friends] wanted," he continued, "they have every right to be pissed, and I'm pissed for them."

Nalin also reaffirmed his previous demand that British-born journalist Mehdi Hasan, a naturalized American citizen, should be both "denaturalized" and "deported."

"I mean, he hates America. If you hate America, you shouldn't be in America. It's simple. If you don't like America, get out," he concluded.
