Masked Man In Security Jacket Robs Las Vegas Casino At Gunpoint, Police Release Footage

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) has released surveillance footage seeking public help to identify a masked armed robber who targeted a casino. The robbery took place on November 13 at approximately 10:29 pm at a casino located in the 200 block of Rampart Boulevard in Las Vegas.

According to police reports, the unidentified male suspect entered the casino premises through a parking garage. Surveillance cameras captured him approaching a cashier's cage armed with an "AR-style rifle" before demanding money from an employee. The employee complied with the demands, after which the suspect exited the premises using the same route through which he had entered.

The robber wore distinctive attire including a ballistic helmet, blue sunglasses, a black face mask, and a blue and yellow security-style jacket. During the incident, a security guard approached the armed man but retreated upon noticing the firearm.

Police patrol units quickly arrived at the scene to secure the area, with robbery detectives subsequently taking over the investigation.

In their social media statement, LVMPD noted: "We're sharing new video today as we continue to investigate an armed robbery that occurred on November 13, 2025, at about 10:29 p.m., at a casino in the 200 block of Rampart Boulevard. Patrol officers arrived within minutes, secured the scene, and notified LVMPD Commercial Robbery Detectives, who assumed the investigation."

The police announcement generated varied public responses online. One commenter supported the security guard's decision to back away, stating it wasn't worth risking human life. Another observer questioned the circumstances, noting that the suspect must have been carrying something suspicious when entering and suggested that if he used an employee entrance or exit, surveillance footage would likely lead to his identification.

Among the comments, one user wrote, "Security Officer sees the gun and says, nah im good. Take what you want."

Another person questioned, "I wanna know how much he got away with and… he exited 'the same way he came in'— ok— where's the footage of him leaving? Walked? Ran? Got picked up? Drove away? Biked away? Segway'd away?? Like??!?!!?"

A third commenter defended the guard's actions: "Pistol vs Automatic rifle? Think the security officer was right to follow procedure. No use in escalating the situation to where innocent patrons can get hurt/killed. I'm guessing detectives are looking at tracing the jacket and other details to find the guy. He'll be found and prosecuted, eventually."
