The two nations officially endorsed a "joint declaration" on civil nuclear energy which establishes the legal framework for a long-term, multi-billion-dollar partnership in nuclear energy development that adheres to "strong nonproliferation standards," as detailed in the White House statement.
Additionally, President Donald Trump gave approval for a "major defense sale package" that includes the future delivery of sophisticated F-35 fighter aircraft, representing a significant enhancement to Saudi Arabia's military capabilities.
