Eric Trump Claims NYC Mayor-Elect Zohran Mamdani "Hates Indian Population" in Fox News Interview

Eric Trump, son of US President Donald Trump, has escalated his criticism of New York City's mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, claiming he "hates the Indian population" during a Fox News interview. Trump characterized Mamdani as a socialist whose leadership would be detrimental to the city, while Mamdani is set to make history as New York's first Muslim mayor and youngest leader in over a century.

Trump Son's Big Allegation Against Zohran Mamdani

Eric Trump has escalated his criticisms of New York City's incoming mayor, Zohran Mamdani.

During a Fox News interview with Sean Hannity, Eric Trump, the second son of US President Donald Trump, claimed that mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani "hates the Indian population." This accusation came as part of a broader critique of what Trump characterized as a far-left agenda transforming major American cities.

In the conversation, Trump expressed his belief that this ideological shift has forced large corporations to operate under what he described as socialist-aligned policies. He reminisced about New York's former status, stating it was once the "greatest city in the world" but has lost this distinction "because of politics."

Trump further criticized Mamdani's priorities, labeling him a "socialist... communist... who wants to nationalise grocery stores and wants to arrest Netanyahu, hates the Jewish people, hates the Indian population." As Executive Vice-President of the Trump Organisation, he suggested the incoming mayor should instead concentrate on "safe streets, clean streets, reasonable taxes," arguing the city could thrive "without government intervention."

Connecting Mamdani to other progressive figures like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Trump revisited his criticism of her opposition to Amazon's proposed headquarters in New York. "They were going to bring tens and tens of thousands of high-paying jobs to New York City and she ran them out like absolute dogs, right?" he remarked.

Earlier this month at a Turning Point USA event, Trump warned that Mamdani's leadership would be catastrophic for New York. He insisted conservatives "cannot allow" such ideas to spread, stating, "This is going to destroy a great American city, and we cannot allow this to spread across this country." He added, "There is a literal Communist elected as New York City mayor."

Mamdani is set to make history when he assumes office on January 1, becoming the city's most progressive mayor in generations. He will be New York's first Muslim mayor, first of South Asian descent, first born in Africa, and the youngest person to lead the city in over a century.

At his Election Night celebration, Mamdani directly addressed the US President, saying, "Donald Trump, since I know you're watching, I have four words for you: Turn the volume up." He added that if any place could demonstrate how a nation disillusioned by Donald Trump could overcome him, "it is the city that gave rise to him."
