Muridke is a city in the Sheikhupura district in Pakistan's Punjab province.
Islamabad:
Recently, a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative has confirmed that the terror organization's headquarters at Markaz Taiba in Muridke was destroyed by Indian armed forces during Operation Sindoor. This revelation comes just days after a Jaish-e-Mohamad (JeM) commander contradicted Pakistan's official stance regarding Masood Azhar's connection to the Bahawalpur camp.
In a video widely circulated across social media platforms, LeT commander Qaasim acknowledged that the Muridke terror facility, which was demolished during the May 7 operation, is currently being reconstructed 'on a larger scale than before'. For context, Muridke is located in Pakistan's Punjab province within the Sheikhupura district.
"I am standing amidst the remains of Markaz Taiba in Muridke, which was destroyed in the (Indian) attack. Reconstruction efforts are currently in progress. By the grace of god, this mosque will be reconstructed on an even larger scale," stated Qaasim in the video, as he stood before a site under construction.

Qaasim further revealed that numerous terrorists [described as mujahideens and talaba (students)] had received training at the now-destroyed Markaz Taiba mosque, and had achieved "victory (Faiz)". This directly contradicts Pakistan's official position claiming the facility was no longer utilized by the terrorist organization.
In another recorded statement, the LeT operative encouraged Pakistani youth to participate in Daura-e-Suffa at Markaz Taiba in Muridke. Daura-e-Suffa is a terrorism training program incorporating basic training alongside religious indoctrination as part of their "jihadi training program".
The Lashkar facility in Muridke was among nine terrorist locations targeted and destroyed by Indian forces during coordinated overnight strikes within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) on May 7. These operations were conducted days after terrorists killed 26 civilians in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam. Under Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army also targeted key Jaish-e-Mohammed installations in Bahawalpur and Hizbul Mujahideen facilities in Sialkot, along with additional LeT compounds in Barnala and Muzaffarabad.
In another video gaining traction online, Saifullah Kasuri, LeT's deputy chief, made striking assertions regarding Pakistan's support for the terrorist organization. In the footage, Kasuri claimed that both the Pakistani government and military have provided funding to rebuild the terrorist group's headquarters in Muridke.

A confidential dossier compiled by India's intelligence agencies, reviewed by NDTV, substantiates reports that Lashkar is quietly reconstructing its demolished headquarters.
The organization has identified February 5, 2026 - Kashmir Solidarity Day - as the strategic deadline for inaugurating the rebuilt complex, coinciding with its annual convention. Intelligence sources indicate that the reconstructed Markaz will once again function as the central hub for training, indoctrination, and operational planning.
Previously, Jaish commander Masood Ilyas Kashmiri had confirmed that Masood Azhar's family, the terror group's top commander, was "torn into pieces" during the strikes on Bahawalpur. In a widely shared video, he also alleged that the Pakistan Army and its Chief, Asim Munir, had "dispatched generals to attend the funerals" of those killed during Operation Sindoor.
