President Trump Endorses Vivek Ramaswamy for Ohio Governor in 2026 Race: "Young, Strong, Smart" Candidate Receives Full Support

US President Donald Trump has endorsed Indian-origin billionaire Vivek Ramaswamy for the 2026 Ohio Governor race, describing him as "something special." Trump expressed confidence that Ramaswamy would serve as a "Great Governor" for what he called a "Great State."

In a Truth Social post, Trump stated, "Vivek Ramaswamy is running for Governor of the Great State of Ohio, a place I love and WON BIG, THREE TIMES, in 2016, 2020, and 2024," while offering his "complete and total endorsement" for the Republican leader.

The President characterized the 38-year-old former biotech executive as a "young, strong, and smart" patriot who genuinely loves the United States.

"I know Vivek well, competed against him, and he is something SPECIAL. He is Young, Strong, and Smart! Vivek is also a very good person, who truly loves our country," Trump remarked, expressing confidence that Ramaswamy would not disappoint Ohio residents.

Trump highlighted Ramaswamy's policy agenda, asserting that he would address migrant crime and maintain law and order as governor.

"As your next Governor, Vivek will fight tirelessly to Grow the Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE USA, Champion American Energy DOMINANCE, Keep our now very Secure Border, SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Strengthen our Military/Veterans, Ensure LAW AND ORDER, Advance Election Integrity, and Protect our always under siege Second Amendment," the President declared.

Trump concluded his endorsement by stating, "Vivek Ramaswamy will be a GREAT Governor of Ohio and has my Complete and Total Endorsement - HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN."

Trump's support represents a significant advantage for Ramaswamy in a state increasingly leaning conservative, despite a recent poll showing Democrat candidate and former state health director Amy Acton narrowly leading.

The Ohio governor position will open when current Republican Governor Mike DeWine completes his term. Republican primaries are scheduled for May next year, with the general election following in November.

Ramaswamy, who previously co-led the Department of Government Efficiency with Elon Musk, has positioned himself as an outsider with business-friendly and deregulation policies that align with President Trump's priorities.
