President Donald Trump indicated on Wednesday that a potential denuclearization agreement involving the United States, Russia, and China may be in development, though he provided no specific details about such an initiative.
During his address at the American Business Forum in Miami, Trump acknowledged America's position in the global nuclear landscape, stating, "We redid our nuclear - we're the number one nuclear power, which I hate to admit, because it's so horrible."
Trump went on to assess the current nuclear capabilities hierarchy, noting that "Russia's second. China's a distant third, but they'll catch us within four or five years."
Regarding potential disarmament efforts, the President added, "We're maybe working on a plan to denuclearise, the three of us. We'll see if that works."
The President's comments come amid ongoing global concerns about nuclear proliferation and arms control between major world powers.
