The Coastguard has confirmed they will be removing the dangerous marine organisms from the beach area.

An urgent alert has been issued to visitors of Welsh beaches following multiple sightings of Portuguese Man O' War, commonly referred to as "Floating Terrors," which have washed ashore on a popular UK coastal destination. Port Talbot Coastguard officials have strongly advised the public to remain alert and avoid any contact with these organisms, as their tentacles can inflict painful stings even after the creature has perished. These marine organisms have been observed on Aberavon Beach and previously along coastal areas in Pembrokeshire, Gwynedd, and Anglesey, according to Express.co.uk.

While frequently confused with jellyfish due to their similar appearance, Portuguese Man O' War deliver considerably more potent stings that may cause painful welts, blistering, and potentially fever, shock, or respiratory complications.
