American hip-hop mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs has been relocated to a New Jersey prison facility to serve his four-year and two-month sentence for prostitution-related offenses, according to federal records released Friday.

Combs is now incarcerated at the low-security Fort Dix prison, approximately 130 kilometers (80 miles) south of New York City, an institution also recognized for its drug rehabilitation programs.

His legal team had specifically requested Combs' transfer to this facility, where he is scheduled to remain until May 8, 2028, as confirmed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

The music industry titan was arrested in September 2024 and was found guilty this July on two counts of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution purposes.

However, the jury cleared him of the more severe accusations of sex trafficking and racketeering.

During his sentencing hearing, Combs emotionally addressed the court before the judge announced his punishment, which accounts for time already served in a notorious Brooklyn detention center. He expressed that he was "truly sorry" for his actions.

He offered apologies to his family and victims, describing his behavior as "disgusting, shameful and sick."

Combs has subsequently challenged both the conviction and the sentence through the appeals process.
