Tragic Death of Indian-Origin Man After Confronting Stranger Urinating on His Car in Edmonton

An Indian-origin businessman in Canada became the victim of a fatal unprovoked attack after confronting a stranger who was urinating on his vehicle. The tragic incident occurred in Edmonton on October 19.

Arvi Singh Sagoo, 55, had just finished dinner with his girlfriend and was returning to his car when they discovered an unknown man relieving himself on their vehicle. When Sagoo questioned the man's actions by asking, "Hey, what are you doing?", the stranger defiantly replied, "Whatever I want."

The situation escalated quickly as the man approached Sagoo and struck him in the head with a punch. Sagoo collapsed to the ground following the assault. His girlfriend immediately called emergency services at 911, as reported by Sagoo's brother to Global News. By the time paramedics arrived at the scene, Arvi was already unconscious.

Despite being rushed to the hospital and placed on life support, Sagoo succumbed to his injuries five days after the attack.

Edmonton Police have identified and arrested the alleged attacker, Kyle Papin, who now faces charges of aggravated assault.

In response to the tragedy, Vincent Ram, a close friend of the deceased, has established a fundraiser to provide financial support for Sagoo's children and to help cover funeral expenses and ongoing living costs.

"This fundraiser aims to support a very kind and loving father who is facing death and ensuring that his two children have the necessary resources and support during this challenging time," states the fundraiser message.
