Washington:

Kamala Harris has not dismissed the possibility of another presidential campaign.

During a BBC interview released Saturday, Harris expressed her belief that a woman will become president in the coming years, potentially herself.

"I am not done," she stated firmly.

The former vice-president clarified that she hasn't made a decision regarding a 2028 presidential run. However, she rejected the notion that such an endeavor would face significant challenges.

"I have lived my entire career a life of service and it's in my bones. There are many ways to serve," she explained. "I've never listened to polls."

Harris has been giving numerous interviews since September when her book "107 Days" was published. The memoir recounts her experience stepping in as the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee after then-President Joe Biden withdrew from the race.

She ultimately lost the election to Republican President Donald Trump.

In a recent Associated Press interview, Harris, 60, reaffirmed that a 2028 campaign remains a possibility. She views herself as a party leader with responsibilities that include opposing Trump's agenda and preparing for the 2026 midterm elections.

Meanwhile, Democratic positioning for the 2028 presidential contest has begun unusually early.

Several potential candidates are already making initial voter outreach efforts in key states, including California Governor Gavin Newsom, term-limited Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, and California Representative Ro Khanna. Reports suggest that approximately 30 prominent Democrats might eventually enter the primary race.
