Louvre Robbers' "Dhoom"-Style Escape On Scooters. AI Video Goes Viral

An AI-generated video has surfaced on social media platforms depicting a cinematic representation of the recent heist at the Louvre.

The prestigious Louvre museum in Paris resumed operations on Wednesday morning, following a three-day closure after a brazen daytime robbery where thieves escaped with royal jewelry valued at over $100 million in just seven minutes. While the museum reopened, the Apollo Room—where the heist occurred—remained closed as authorities continued their search for the group of 'experienced criminals' who executed the smash-and-grab operation merely 250 meters from the famous Mona Lisa painting by Leonardo da Vinci.

According to official reports, the criminals spent less than four minutes inside the Louvre. They utilized a freight lift positioned near the Seine-facing façade to force entry through a window, shattered two display cases, and absconded with the museum's most valuable treasures. Security alarms alerted Louvre security personnel to the gallery, causing the intruders to flee—but by then, the theft had already been completed. Reports indicate they escaped on two scooters moments later.

The getaway vehicles were reportedly identified as Yamaha TMax scooters.

A witness named Samir, who was cycling in the vicinity during the incident, informed TF1 channel that he observed two individuals "get on the hoist, break the window and enter... it took 30 seconds."

He reported seeing four individuals departing on scooters, after which he contacted the police. The robbery occurred just 800 meters from Paris police headquarters.

As investigative agencies hunt for the perpetrators, an AI-generated video emerged on social media presenting a Hollywood-style portrayal of the heist.

Internet users quickly drew comparisons between the incident and the popular Bollywood film Dhoom.

One X user commented, "There's a theft at the Louvre Museum, but the contents are all from the movie Dhoom 2."

Another user observed, "It is interesting that despite being 48 hours since the Louvre Museum robbery, neither the culprits are arrested nor the robbed jewellery recovered. More to prove that movies are not fiction. Good plotline for Dhoom 4"

"Real Dhoom 2 enthusiasts know what actually went down at the Louvre," wrote another X user.

One user remarked that "if Aryan from Dhoom 2 was actually a real person, like he would 100% rob the Louvre in broad daylight just for the love of the game."

For those unfamiliar, the 2006 hit film "Dhoom 2: Back in Action" features a memorable scene where character Aryan, portrayed by Hrithik Roshan, disguises himself as a statue to execute a museum heist.
