FBI Investigates Suspicious Hunting Stand With Direct View of Trump's Air Force One Exit Point

The FBI announced on Sunday that it has launched an investigation following the discovery of a suspicious hunting stand with a direct line of sight to where President Donald Trump exits Air Force One at Palm Beach International Airport.

According to reports, the elevated structure was identified during routine security procedures on Thursday before the President's scheduled return to West Palm Beach.

FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed that while they have not yet linked the hunting stand to any specific individual, federal agents are conducting an active investigation into the matter.

Patel stated, "Prior to the President's return to West Palm Beach, USSS discovered what appeared to be an elevated hunting stand within the sight line of the Air Force One landing zone."

He further explained, "No individuals were located at the scene. The FBI has since taken the investigatory lead, flying in resources to collect all evidence from the scene and deploying our cell phone analytics capabilities."

Anthony Guglielmi, the Secret Service's chief of communications, verified that his agency is collaborating closely with the FBI and local law enforcement in Palm Beach County on this investigation.

Guglielmi emphasized that the stand was found during "advance security preparations" before Trump's arrival and assured that there was "no impact to any movements" and no individuals were discovered at the location.

"While we are not able to provide details about the specific items or their intent, this incident underscores the importance of our layered security measures," Guglielmi added.

A law enforcement source revealed to reporters that the hunting structure appears to have been in place "for months."

This incident comes after Trump survived an assassination attempt during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on July 13 last year, when a bullet grazed the upper part of his right ear.
