Paris:

France's Culture Minister Rachida Dati has announced that authorities have recovered one of the jewelry pieces stolen from the Louvre Museum in Paris on Sunday. The recovered item was discovered in close proximity to the world-famous museum.

"One of the jewelry items was found near the Louvre," Dati confirmed during an interview with television broadcaster TF1. This statement follows another minister's earlier declaration that the thieves had escaped with "priceless" artifacts from a gallery specifically dedicated to housing France's crown jewels.
