According to Downdetector, which monitors service disruptions by gathering status reports from various sources, approximately 321,990 users reported problems with YouTube as of 7:47 p.m. ET.

Downdetector's tracking system relies on user-submitted reports to identify potential service issues, though the actual number of users impacted by the outage may differ from these figures.

When reached for comment about the widespread service disruption, Google, YouTube's parent company, did not immediately provide a response to Reuters' inquiry.
