Two World Food Programme trucks were hit and damaged by Russian drones during a humanitarian mission in Ukraine.

In Kyiv, the United Nations reported that a humanitarian convoy was struck by Russian drones while delivering essential aid to a front-line region in southern Ukraine, according to information shared by the UN's Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Ukraine on social media platforms.

Matthias Schmale, OCHA's humanitarian coordinator in Ukraine, issued a strong condemnation of the attack, confirming that two World Food Programme trucks sustained damage from drone strikes. Fortunately, no personnel were injured in the incident.

Schmale emphasized that such attacks constitute a serious violation of international humanitarian law and could potentially be classified as a war crime.
