Trump Announces Gaza Ceasefire: All Hostages Set for Monday Release in Historic Middle East Peace Deal

US President Donald Trump has announced a breakthrough ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, with all Gaza hostages expected to be released on Monday. The 20-point peace plan includes Israeli troop withdrawal and promises reconstruction efforts in Gaza, potentially marking a significant step toward broader Middle East peace with implications for regional dynamics including Iran.

All Hostages Will Be Released On Monday: Trump After Gaza Peace Deal

US President Donald Trump announced that he anticipates all hostages held in Gaza, including the remains of those deceased, will be "coming back" on Monday following a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.

"So much is happening to get the hostages freed, and we think they'll all be coming back on Monday, so it looks like that's the thing, and that'll include the bodies of the dead," Trump stated during a phone interview with Fox News.

The Republican president made these remarks late Wednesday, hours after unveiling a 20-point peace plan designed to end two years of devastating conflict that has left Gaza in ruins and created a humanitarian crisis.

According to the plan, Hamas would release all hostages while Israeli forces would withdraw to predetermined positions. Trump revealed these details after negotiations in Egypt resulted in an agreement.

Trump suggested this deal could have broader regional implications, potentially including participation from Iran, which has long been adversarial to both Israel and the United States.

"This is more than Gaza, this is peace in the Middle East," he told Fox, adding that he believes "Iran is going to be actually a part of the whole peace situation."

"The world has come together around this deal," he continued, describing it as "great for Israel, so great for Muslims, for the Arab countries, and so great for this country."

The American president has previously indicated that Gaza could be transformed into a thriving area if regional tensions subsided. He reiterated this vision on Wednesday, noting that the United States would participate in reconstruction efforts.

Gaza is "going to be a place that reconstructs, and other countries in the area will help it reconstruct, because they have tremendous amounts of wealth, and they want to see that happen," he stated.

"And we'll be involved in helping them make it successful and helping it stay peaceful."
