Prince Harry Security Risk: Stalker Twice Approached Duke During Recent UK Visit Without Police Protection

A known stalker of Prince Harry approached the Duke of Sussex twice during his recent visit to Britain, according to a security source close to the prince.

The concerning incidents occurred during Prince Harry's four-day trip to the UK last month. The woman reportedly came near him at a charity awards ceremony and again during his visit to the Centre for Injury Studies (CIS) at Imperial College London.

The Telegraph newspaper reported that the woman was already identified on a list of fixated individuals compiled by a private intelligence company for Prince Harry's personal protection team. According to reports, this same individual had previously followed him to Nigeria.

"These incidents are not uncommon for members of the royal family," stated a security source for the prince.

"It differs, however, because there was no police presence or close protection — it was left to two staffers from his private office to intervene. This time they got lucky, recognising the fixated individual. Relying on luck is not a long-term fix."

When approached, Prince Harry's spokesperson declined to comment on the matter. Police authorities have also maintained their standard position of not discussing security arrangements publicly.

In May, Prince Harry lost a significant court challenge against the British government regarding the decision to remove his automatic police protection while in the United Kingdom.

During the legal proceedings, the government's legal representatives argued that a customized security arrangement for the prince offered positive advantages from a security assessment perspective.

"He's the son of the king, brother of the heir, fifth in line to the throne and one of the most famous people in the world," the security source emphasized. "It feels like there is an inevitable foreboding looming over this whole issue."
