Elon Musk's satellite-based internet provider Starlink is facing a widespread service disruption, according to an announcement posted on their website Monday.
"Starlink is currently experiencing a service outage. Our team is investigating," the company stated, with no additional information provided.
According to Downdetector, a website that monitors service interruptions, over 43,000 users across the United States were impacted as of 12:35 a.m. ET (0435 GMT).
Owned and operated by Musk's company SpaceX, Starlink offers internet connectivity via its extensive constellation of satellites in low-Earth orbit, serving both remote regions and conflict zones worldwide.
When contacted by Reuters for comment, SpaceX did not immediately respond.
