A document revealed a tentative itinerary indicating a possible trip by Musk to Epstein's island in December 2014.
Technology billionaire Elon Musk declared on Sunday that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein attempted to persuade him to visit his US Virgin Islands property - a location where numerous women reported being abused by Epstein - but Musk adamantly declined. This statement follows the revelation that Musk was mentioned in the controversial Jeffrey Epstein files alongside other prominent individuals including Bill Gates and Trump associate Steve Bannon.
"Epstein tried to get me to go to his island and I REFUSED, yet they name me even before Prince Andrew, who did visit," Musk stated in a post on his social media platform X.
He further emphasized that anyone "pushing the false narrative deserves complete contempt".
The newly released six-page document, made public by Democratic lawmakers on Saturday, contained an itinerary noting a potential visit by Musk scheduled for December 6, 2014, to Epstein's island. A notation beside Musk's name questioned, "Is this still happening?" However, the documents did not conclusively indicate whether Musk actually made the journey.
The tech entrepreneur promptly refuted these claims.
"This is false," he asserted.
The document also referenced a breakfast arranged with Steve Bannon, a significant ally of Donald Trump, scheduled for February 16, 2019. Additionally, it mentioned a tentative breakfast meeting with Bill Gates on December 5, 2014.
Democratic lawmakers have called upon the US Justice Department to release all Epstein-related files - a request that the Trump administration has declined. Trump's team has maintained that no "client list" exists, contradicting widespread conspiracy theories suggesting Epstein was blackmailing elite figures, including influential Democrats.
Musk has been openly critical of the Trump administration since reports emerged alleging Trump wrote a birthday message to Epstein in 2003. In a subsequently deleted post, Musk suggested Trump's name appeared in the Epstein files, implying this was why certain documents remained sealed. The Tesla CEO later acknowledged this post "went too far".
